Mariel Acosta-Garcia

Biography:

Mariel Acosta-Garcia was born and raised in Miami, Florida, graduating from Lourdes Academy High School in South Miami. She practices in the areas of Estate Planning, Estate and Trust Administration (Formal and Summary), Guardianship Administration and Taxation. Before joining Vasallo Sloane, P.L., Mrs. Acosta-Garcia was a partner at the law firm of Levin & Acosta-Garcia, a boutique law firm located in Miami.

Mrs. Acosta-Garcia received her law degree from Florida International University, where she obtained both her law degree and Bachelor of Arts degree. She has maintained strong ties with the University and presently serves on the Dean’s Advisory Board for the College of Arts and Sciences and on the Alumni Board for the College of Law at the University. She also serves as a committee member for the Cuban American Bar Association, coordinating and organizing numerous events throughout the year, some of which benefit the association’s pro bono project which provides legal services to indigent minorities. Mrs. Acosta-Garcia is also a member of the Estate Planning Council of Greater Miami.

Mrs. Acosta-Garcia has been an active parishioner at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in South Miami for approximately 20 years now where she and her family participate regularly. She is married to Ariel Garcia and is fluent in Spanish.
